Exploring ‘Rehabilitation Matters’ with FSEM at Therapy Expo 2025

The Faculty are delighted to be partnering with MSK HQ to support the MSK Therapy Expo 2025 Conference. Following the resounding success of previous national MSK conferences hosted at Therapy Expo, the new MSK HQ at the 2025 edition will explore the crucial theme of ‘Rehabilitation Matters’ in the two-day conference, taking place on 26-27 November at NEC Birmingham.

The MSK HQ is set to focus on the clinical, practical, and innovative aspects of rehabilitation. In an exciting collaboration, this year’s MSK HQ is also proud to partner with other esteemed partners including the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT) and the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP).

Together, industry leaders will elevate the conversation around rehabilitation and promote excellence in musculoskeletal care. With one-third of the UK adult population living with MSK conditions and 43% of people in the UK living with a long-term condition (LTC), there has never been a more important time to prioritise rehabilitation as a fundamental aspect of healthcare to address the growing needs of those living with MSK conditions and other LTCs.

Our President, Dr Natasha Jones, said “FSEM are delighted to be partnering with the MSKHQ Therapy Expo – ‘Rehabilitation matters’. In an era where prevention must become the priority for a sustainable health system, rehabilitation really does matter. We will be focusing our thoughts on what health can do to support people living with long-term conditions to move more. We will be covering education across the whole NHS workforce, building impactful conversational skills and removing barriers for the 41% of adults living with long-term conditions in the UK today. We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to work together to normalise movement as an integral part of health. Let’s talk about it….”

Amanda Hensman-Crook, Programme Lead of MSK HQ at Therapy Expo, noted: “The MSK HQ provides a home for multi-professional MSK education delivered and facilitated by world class leaders in this field. This year, we bring clinical presentations, workshops and campfire debates focussing on our theme of ‘Rehabilitation Matters.’ An amazing opportunity to gain and share knowledge in many areas of rehabilitation in the context of personalised care. Session topics include specific anatomical structures such as the shoulder, concussion, grass roots sport, paediatric MSK, pelvic health, digital rehabilitation and much more!”

Sharon Chan-Braddock, Programme Lead of MSK HQ at Therapy Expo, said: “With one-third of the UK adult population living with MSK conditions, effective and accessible rehabilitation is critical in enabling individuals to live well, stay active, and achieve a better quality of life. Join us at the MSK HQ at Therapy Expo 2025 for ‘Rehabilitation Matters’, where we’ll focus on the clinical, practical, and innovative aspects of rehabilitation. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with peers, learn from leading experts, share insights, and earn CPD points. Let’s make rehabilitation a priority together!”

Charlotte Speer, Show Manager of Therapy Expo, said: “We’re so excited to be hosting the MSK HQ once again at Therapy Expo. It promises to be a game-changer for delegates, providing a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange. Delegates can look forward to engaging sessions, interactive workshops and insightful discussions across the two days.”

The MSK HQ will take place at Therapy Expo, the UK’s leading multi-disciplinary event for professionals dedicated to preventing, treating, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Over 2,000+ professionals, including physiotherapists, massage therapists, sports therapists, exercise rehabilitation instructors, physical trainers and more, attend each year for the only UK event that bridges the gap between every discipline and fosters an integrated approach to client recovery and performance optimisation.
