What does Moving Medicine offer?

Moving Medicine is our free, award winning initiative, designed to provide clinicians and allied health professionals with accessible, evidence based, condition specific information to help give advice on physical activity at all stages of a patient’s treatment pathway. We also provide our toolkit for hospitals to help people be more active during and after their time in hospital.

We are always looking to build on the Moving Medicine resources. There are opportunities for the SEM Community to develop new resources, disseminate information and more. Please contact the team to advise what you would like to get involved with.

Partners

Moving Medicine is developed by FSEM in partnership with OHID, Sport England and the National Lottery. It is also developed with SportScotland and Public Health Scotland. We work closely with partners in the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians, Public Health Northern Ireland and the American College of Sports Medicine.

The resources are endorsed by the Royal College of Physicians, Royal College of General Practitioners, Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, Royal College of Nursing, Academy of Medical Royal Colleges and the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. In addition, they are developed and endorsed by leading charities.
