FSEM Annual Awards Ceremony 2023
Another year, another successful Awards Ceremony.
“We want and need your energy. We will support you to achieve your aspirations. And when we find areas that need improvement and change, we rely on your expertise and enthusiasm to help us find solutions. All our initiatives and projects are driven by the Fellows, Members and Diplomates who volunteer their time to help develop the specialty we all work in.”
Those were the words of our President, Dr Natasha Jones, during her opening speech, and this sentiment was reflected throughout the entire ceremony, as we got together to celebrate the success of all our new Fellows, Members and Diplomates.
We would like to again send a huge congratulations to everyone for their achievements, and place on record our thanks for attending our ceremony.
It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to welcome both Dr Kathryn H Schmitz and Dr Michael Stone to the Faculty as Honorary Fellows.
Dr Kathryn Schmitz has helped lead the way for women in our specialty and has made an outstanding contribution to the recognition of Sport and Exercise Medicine and to the development of FSEM, while the Faculty and our speciality have benefited greatly from the endeavours of Dr Michael Stone over many years.
