DSD Guidance

By Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK, 17 Feb, 2020 | 1 min read

Following recent public discussion on the recommended course of action to be followed if an athlete were to be diagnosed with a disorder of sex development (DSD), we believe it is important for all physicians working in sport to be aware of and educated about DSD. To help clinicians stay informed, we have prepared this short summary of relevant clinical information which is presented for educational purposes only.

The guide was produced for FSEM (UK) by Professor Paul Dimitri, Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology and Director of Research and Innovation at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
