Work, Health and Disability

The Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM) UK has responded to the Work, Health and Disability Consultation, by the Department for Work & Pensions and the Department of Health.

In responding to this consultation, the FSEM aknowledges the need to change the way in which musculoskeletal (MSK) and health conditions are recognised and supported in work and for those looking to enter work.

Sport and Exercise Medicine Physicians are well placed to lead on work place wellness and have an enormous contribution to make in the area of work, health and disability through their skills in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Exercise Medicine.

Both work and physical activity have an enormous part to play in an individual’s health and wellbeing and should be accessible to all.
