Training the Team and Communication – Faculty Delivers Key Session at Triennial Conference
The Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK (FSEM) will deliver insight from the specialty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM), on its multidisciplinary team approach and working with the UK’s top sports teams, at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh flagship Triennial Conference, The Modern Surgical Team: The Future of Surgery, on the 22nd and 23rd March.
The session, Training the Team and Communication, will be Co-Chaired by FSEM (UK) President Dr Paul Jackson and Professor S Michael Griffin OBE. FSEM (UK), SEM speakers in this session include:
Dr Mike Loosemore MBE, Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine within the NHS and doctor to the British Olympic Boxing and Snow Sport teams. Dr Loosemore will be delivering insight into Building a Medical Team for the Olympics
Dr James Robson, Chief Medical Officer for Scottish Rugby Union, will be taking the audience through his talk, Pitchside Banter or Effective Communication, covering the various aspects of team communication from banter to pitch side messages, from coaches to players, medics to medics, translation of prematch tactics to match day execution.
