Tackling Physical Inactivity a Coordinated Approach

The All Party Commission on Physical Activity has released the first of two reports on tackling physical inactivity in the UK. The report sets out the scale and scope of the problem mapping out specific areas in which work is needed for change.  The Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK (FSEM) contributed a written submission to the report, including a call for the creation of A National Programme for Physical Activity Health and Wellness. The FSEM is pleased to see that an over-arching National Plan of Action to tackle declining levels of physical activity is a core part of the report, something which the FSEM continues to lobby for as part of its strategic vision.
