Starter Grants for Clinical Lecturers

Starter Grants for Clinical LecturersThe Academy of Medical Sciences is now accepting applications for starter grants for clinical lecturers who are looking to develop and strengthen their research careers.

The grants offer funding of up to £30,000 over 1-2 years to cover the cost of research consumables. The grants allow research-active Clinical Lecturers to gather data to strengthen their bids for longer-term fellowships and funding.

To find out more about the grants, or to apply, visit the Academy of Medical Sciences website.

The Academy recently celebrated ten years since the launch of the Starter Grants for Clinical Lecturers scheme. To mark this, they have published the ‘Starter for 10: a decade of supporting academic Clinical Lecturers’ report which sets out the successes and includes case studies drawn from the last decade, which can also be found on their case studies webpage.
