Part One Exam Date
We are pleased to confirm that this year’s FSEM Membership Examination in Sport and Exercise Medicine Part One will go ahead as scheduled on 9 Sept 2020.
To minimise disruption caused by COVID 19, the closing date for those wishing to sit the examination has been extended to 31 July 2020.
The examination is administered by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, and places can be booked by visiting their website. It will be available at test centres in Edinburgh, Birmingham, Dublin and Kuala Lumpur. Please note that social distancing measures will be in place in line with all applicable guidance.
BASEM will be running a Revision Course for the Part One exam on Saturday 8 Aug via Zoom and online bookings for this can be made on the BASEM website.
Faculty President Dr John Etherington said:
“The COVID 19 situation has obviously led to a lot of uncertainty, not least in relation to career progression. We are therefore delighted to be in a position to offer this exam as scheduled, and hope it will allow doctors with an interest in SEM to make decisions about their future with as little disruption as possible.”
“We recognise that safety is a major concern with any form of social gathering, and will be working with RCSEd to ensure that all test centres operate in strict compliance with social distancing guidelines.”
