Out of the Blocks – BASEM Conference Breakfast
We are delighted to announce that Out of the Blocks will be hosting a breakfast session in Brighton on the morning of 27 May, the second day of this year’s BASEM Conference. Due to COVID restrictions, this is the first opportunity we’ve had to meet up in person. We are really looking forward to welcoming many of our members face-to-face, some for the first time, and we hope as many as possible will be able to come along.
Out of the blocks is a faculty initiative created by SEM consultants to support consultants in the first 5 years of practice. The initiative offers new consultants the chance to connect with the faculty and have their voice heard on a national level, as well as offering educational resources and webinars that cover topics not usually picked up in training.
One of the main aims of Out of the Blocks is to provide a space for new consultants to get to know each other, to form connections and support networks. That’s why we’re so looking forward to our session at the BASEM Conference; we hope it will be a relaxed, informal space where we’ll all have the chance to get to know each other better.
If you’re a new consultant and Faculty member coming along to the Conference, we hope you’ll join us. Whether you’re already part of Out of the Blocks or not, we’d love to meet you.
Further details – including time and location (and menu!) will be confirmed closer to the conference date – keep an eye on the programme for updates.
