Moving Medicine wins Best Health Innovation at Elevate 2019

Dr Natasha Jones and Dr Hamish Reid receive Best Health Innovation Award at Elevate 2019

We were delighted that our work to change conversations on physical activity was recognised at the 2019 Elevate Innovation Awards. Moving Medicine took the top prize, winning Best Health and Wellness Innovation. It was the first year that the initiative has featured at the high-profile Elevate event, with two days of seminars dedicated to exploring the science behind the Moving Medicine initiative, covering the Active Hospitals pilot, and the impact of physical activity on diabetes, inflammatory rheumatic conditions, in pregnancy and more.

The Elevate Innovation Awards, sponsored by Fitness Compared, recognise the best products and services in defined categories, judged by experts at Elevate, COPA and Elite Sports Expo. The awards are linked to the show’s themes of inclusivity, performance, health and wellbeing and business.

Max Quittenton, Founder and Director of Elevate, commented: “As Elevate grows year on year, as does the number and quality of entries into the Innovation Awards. It’s important that we celebrate innovative products and services as they play a vital role in tackling physical inactivity.  Congratulations to all the winners and those who entered the awards; we look forward to acknowledging the next wave of innovations at Elevate 2020.”
