FSEM Appoints a Second Vice President

Following the election of Dr Justin Hughes as Vice President earlier in 2015, the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM) UK is pleased to announce that Dr Natasha Jones has been elected as its second Vice President.

The FSEM Council decided to create two Vice President positions in order to share the increasing responsibilities of the role in the development of the specialty.

Dr Paul D Jackson, President of the FSEM comments: I’d like to extend my congratulations to both Natasha and Justin and I look forward to working with them both as part of the FSEM Executive Council Team. The development of the specialty will benefit greatly from both appointments. We have some big ambitions, including continuing to develop our training and workforce to offer an increasingly relevant service to the NHS using our skills in physical activity, Exercise Medicine and Musculoskeletal Medicine.”

Natasha is a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the English Institute of Sport and Oxford University NHS Trust, and Justin is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise Medicine and Rehabilitation for London Bridge Hospital. Both will serve a three year term in the FSEM’s Executive Council team.
