Appointment of a New President
The Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM) UK is pleased to announce the official appointment of its new President, Dr Paul D Jackson. Dr Jackson started his three year term of office as President on the 26 November 2015, when he was presented with the President’s Chain of Office by outgoing President Dr Roderick Jaques at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Dr Paul D Jackson comments: “I am delighted to have been given the opportunity by our Council members to serve in office as President of the FSEM. I’d like to extend a warm thank you to our outgoing President, Dr Roderick Jaques, for an excellent handover and his continued support as Immediate Past President.
“I am looking forward to developing the Faculty and the specialty of Sport and Exercise Medicine, which has an enormous application outside of a traditional sports setting in prevention and public health, with its unique skills in exercise medicine, musculoskeletal medicine and team care.”
