The Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM) has awarded up to 6 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points per day for delegates attending From Plinth to Pitch, the 3rd joint BASEM/FSEM annual Sport and Exercise Medicine conference in Liverpool on the 13th and 14th October 2016.
With a packed programme covering a wide range of Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM) topics, delegates will be able to add to their learning portfolio per session (at 1 CPD point per hour) or up to 6 points per full day attended.
The FSEM is the governing body which approves SEM CPD awards, and certificates will be available to all delegates who sign the CPD register at the conference.
The event provides an excellent education and networking opportunity for all healthcare professionals working across sport and exercise medicine services and will include sessions Chaired by both BASEM and FSEM Members and Fellows, with plenty of detailed topics to choose from.
For example, on day one of the conference, the morning Primary Care and Musculoskeletal session will cover five different topics including hints, tips and the latest research on anterior knee pain, tendon disease and ultrasound. A session including five speakers delivering Reflections on the Rio Olympic and Paralympic Games will be running alongside this, whilst the FSEM session in the afternoon will put the latest research on osteoarthritis, femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and respiratory dysfunction into clinical practice.
Day two will cover topics ranging from the golfer’s wrist to how imaging can and can’t help and what we can do to increase physical activity levels.
