UPDATE: 2020 National Clinical Excellence Awards
UPDATE 15 July 2020
Clinical Excellence Award holders who were due to submit a renewal application in 2020 (ie whose award is due to expire in April 2021) should note that ministers have agreed to extend those awards by one year.
ACCEA (Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards) have requested that those eligible for an extension notify ACCEA by completing a short form by Friday 31 July.
If you have any questions about 2020 renewal applications please email email@example.com.
The Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards (ACCEA) has decided to suspend applications for the 2020 national Clinical Excellence Awards competition.
ACCEA is aware of the increasing impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on all NHS staff, and knows that Royal Colleges, employers, ACCEA committee members and applicants are concerned about the time needed to apply for an award and for employers to sign them off, which may be at the expense of clinical priorities.
The Committee has therefore suspended applications for the 2020 national Clinical Excellence Awards competition. There is now no need to complete an application or for employers to sign off those already submitted.
