Guidelines for Applications

Fellow FFSEM(UK) 

 

 

 

 

 

Medical practitioners who have satisfactorily completed the following can apply for election to Fellowship of the FSEM (UK): 

1. A recognised training programme in Sport and Exercise Medicine (including parts 1 and 2 of the FSEM Membership Exam)

2. CCT in Sport and Exercise Medicine (SEM)

3. Who are on the UK Specialist Register in SEM

Medical practitioners who have completed their training aboard, who have obtained a CESR in SEM and are on the UK Specialist Register in SEM may also apply for election to Fellowship.

Medical practitioners who have passed both parts of the FSEM Membership Examination will be eligible to apply for election to membership.

Associate Member

 

 

Associate membership is open to SEM Registrars and medical undergraduates in the UK and Ireland. Locums and associated specialists may also be considered for associate status.

Senior Fellow

Senior Member

If a Fellow or Member is no longer receiving an income derived from Medicine, they can submit a Retiral Confirmation Form.  The retired  Member or Fellow  will retain full rights and post-nominals but will pay a reduced subscription.

Documents required

Each application for Fellowship or Membership should forward to the Faculty office enquiries@fsem.ac.uk the following documents:

1.  A completed application form which should be signed and dated at the bottom by one upstanding Fellow of FSEM (UK). A list of our upstanding Fellows can be found on our website here.

2.  The Fellow nominating the applicant should provide a letter of support regarding the applicant's contribution in SEM to date.

3.  The applicant's up-to-date CV.

4.  A covering letter from the applicant detailing all his/her experience and training in SEM to date.
